Week 9 at Cross-Cultural Learning Iinstitute

This week Cross-Cultural learning Institute welcomed its newest student who will study with us for two weeks.
Cross-Cultural learning Institute also accommodates short stay students ranging from a few days to two or three weeks English classes.
Our newest student is on Standard Course ie. four hours and as such she can enjoy both private class and conversation class.
For those of our students who choose to take only 2 hours class daily -five times a week- we offer Resort Course.
These two programs Standard and Resort course give students the chance to study and do other activities as well, for example one of our students is going to undertake a diving course

Cross-Cultural learning Institute theme for this week is Culture. Students participation was excellent and sharing their knowledge of their culture -art, lifestyle, food, beliefs etc. through presentations, debates, role plays, and discussions.

We at Cross-Cultural learning Institute want to give our students the best opportunity to speak irrespective of their level of English. Even our Elementary level students are encouraged to speak and express their views- learning new things is a rewarding wonderful experience- to know they can use what they learn..gives them increased eagerness to learn and speak English.

This week two of our Elementary level students shared about Japanese Table Manners and Chopsticks tradition while we spoke on eating lifestyles and traditional beliefs, they were encouraged and learned from each others mistakes....excellent work and effort on their part.

Rendezvous Surf and Dive Resort in turn, provided our students with a slice of Fijian cultural experience in making Lovo for dinner this Friday.

June 3rd-10th at Cross-Cultural Learning Institute

This is Week 8 for Cross-Cultural Learning Institute 2011 Curriculum.
Our two themes for this week are Restaurants & Food as well as Environment.

The students of Cross-Cultural Learning Institute excellently performed for presentations and discussions this week and they used their imagination to enact role plays relating to sub-themes given daily.

Cross-Cultural Learning Institute students take every opportunity to express themselves and even to learn from each other's mistakes.

They learn things they didn't know or have forgotten about grammar and they also learn new things about the topics from their research and presentations.

Students here at Cross-Cultural Learning Institute actively participate in raising and answering questions. One of our students who has been a part of Cross-Cultural Learning Institute for over 2 months and has also made an impression and great effort to learn English is graduating this week. He is one of our many excellent students who has been taking advantage of the opportunity to use English in order to express his views and broaden his vocabulary, understanding and usage of English with Cross-Cultural Learning Institute.

We wish him all the best and thank him and others like him for choosing Cross-Cultural Learning Institute.
