Learning with Cross-Cultural Learning Institute

英語の先生からのメッセージ！

Cross-Cultural Learning Institute students and us teachers are enjoying another day of school.

Student here study from Monday to Friday. They come with the goal to learn English choosing Rendezvous Fiji as a place to stay and Cross-Cultural Learning Institute as their school.

They spend their weekdays studying English taking private classes as well as conversation classes. By the end of the day such as today; they can go surfing, swimming in the pool ……. just enjoy the afternoon studying….napping ….cooking etc.

Here at Cross-Cultural Learning Institute today our foundation level students had Friendship as their conversation topic and it was interesting to have students make presentations about Friendship and answer questions asked by other students and us teachers. Cross-Cultural Learning Institute upper level students did Travel as their conversation topic.

They discussed about the trips they took and the countries they have been to. In conversation class they discuss topics, answer each other questions, and learn from each other’s mistake. Students learn vocabulary related to the topic being discussed as well as useful expressions they can use for such situations.

Cross-Cultural Learning Institute private classes focus on specific issues they might have with grammar. They brush up on the grammar they learnt in school. We here at Cross-Cultural Learning Institute we also concentrate on pronunciation problems like L and R , V and B

They can study outside on the terrace of Rendezvous Beach Resort; while at the same time enjoy the cool refreshing breeze. The terrace provides the perfect environment for our students to study refreshing their mind and body.

It is an ideal place for our students because it enables them to study and do their homework.

We want our students to perform and be at their best as well as have the best environment to study.

Our female students are planning to spend the afternoon baking in Rendezvous Surf and Dive self-catering kitchen. I think today yoghurt cake is on the menu……yesterday it was chocolate cake.

This pleasure (cooking) has also appealed to our male students who are lately taken to using cassava which is Fiji’s local root crop. Cassava is to Fiji as rice is to Japan.

Some of the students love to lay on the hammocks just to get a glimpse of the sea and the sunset in the evening, students love to watch the sunset and they take hiking trips led by a Rendezvous Surf and Dive staff………

Then tomorrow is another day…. to learn, relax and enjoy......and for our students to master English speaking
